Argentina - close to the world!
Our aims and goals
Pasantias Argentinas is an independent private organizer of stays in Argentina with its headquarters in Córdoba/Argentina. Pasantias Argentinas objective is the cultural exchange between Latin America and the rest of the world. To bring the Argentinean way of live and joy of living close to people from other nations, origin and cultural background, you probably best let them experience it on destination!
We reach this aim by the organization of integrative stays of all kind in Argentina. We are offering language courses, professional internships in all areas of studies and occupations, medical and nursing internships, study stays, social volunteer projects, farmstays and work & travel programs.
Our programs are targeted to high school leavers, university students, graduates, apprentices and young professionals.
Pasantias Argentinas maintains numerous contacts to national organizations, NGOs, institutions, authorities, social institutions, universities and many private companies throughout Argentina.
Nowadays a stay abroad with the obtained key qualifications like foreign language skills, intercultural competence, an open mind and internationality are highly important preconditions for your professional success!
Our History | Our Story
In 1991 the founder of Pasantias Argentinas arrived from Germany to Argentina to set up an exchange program.
The first German interns arrived in 1992 in Argentina. During a decade Argentina was one of the most expensive countries of the world because of the fixed exchange rate of 1 Peso = 1 US$. That was the reason why only few tourists came to Argentina and no single language school, no hostel and no activities for young people like rafting, paragliding, mountain biking exist.
After the devaluation of the Argentinean peso end of 2001/begin of 2002 the international incoming tourism in Argentina take off within the following years. Between 2004 and 2006 Argentina was the cheapest travel country in the region and now also low budget traveler could afford to travel Argentina. Language schools were founded, hostels opened and new touristic activities were offered.
Pasantias Argentinas today runs its own volunteer houses and co-operates with a partner language school. But from the beginning Pasantias Argentinas is not a regular language school rather than specialized on long term stays with its exchange programmes like internships abroad, volunteering abroad, work and travel and farm stays in Argentina.
To prepare the student for their internship, volunteer project, job or farmstay we offer intensive Spanish tuition in small groups with intercultural workshops and interview training. The student lives in one of our own, beautiful trilingual volunteer houses or in shared student´s flats or at homestays.
At the anniversary year 2016 (25 years Argentina) Pasantias Argentinas is one of the most professional internship, volunteer, farmstay and work experience provider of the country with the most beautiful language school in Córdoba, very nice accommodation houses.
We receive annually approx. 100 students from all over the world, only in Córdoba.
