Equestian club and horse breeding

As a horse lover and rider, this riding club and horse breeding project in Argentina should be your dream internship. You can help out at a riding and horse club that breed their own horses and take care of the horses and ride them yourself. Stud farms or horse breeding farms are called “haras” in Argentina. In this haras horses are bred, tamed and show jumpers are trained.

The leading, young married couple also take care of the Argentine beginners and advanced riders who come here to spend their free time to learn equestrianism. Riding lessons and show jumping are offered and young show jumpers are trained for commercialization.

You commute to the riding club by bus

The several hectare facility is located approx. 20 km south of the city center of Córdoba. With the bus and one change you can get there easily, because you live a little north of the center in the beautiful district of Alta Córdoba in a participant house. Other participants and young Argentinians are also accommodated there. In contrast to the farm stay, you don't live directly at the project, but take the bus there every day.

The first few weeks after arriving in Argentina you will take Spanish classes, because you must be able to make yourself understood in Spanish. By the way, you can walk to the language school as it is in the same part of town. Learning in a very small group is a lot of fun and you are highly motivated to use your Spanish right away when communicating with the Argentines who frequent the accommodation.

Assist with riding lessons and look after the horses

On the first day of your horse care project, riding club and horse breeding in Argentina, you will be driven there and introduced. You will be fully integrated and actively involved in all daily tasks. Typical tasks include feeding, washing and caring for the horses. Keeping the harness in good condition, assisting with riding lessons, keeping the area and tools clean and drinking mate in a relaxed atmosphere.

Córdoba and the surrounding area offer many recreational opportunities. Paragliding, trekking, swimming in rivers, mountain biking, attending dance classes, partying through the nights in the student district, etc. And, of course, our participants usually travel all over the country together. For this reason, inexpensive package tours are offered, e.g. to the Iguazú waterfalls or rafting to Mendoza in the Andes.
